Question:
What are the benefits of getting images retouched
Answer:
Retouching images, while controversial, does offer benefits to the advertiser. No one's skin is crystal clear--when advertising a cosmetic product, retouching an image can create the look of flawlessness. Retouching can make a model's hair glossier for a shampoo ad or a model thinner for a clothing ad. All these manipulations are done to try to get a consumer to purchase the advertised product.
Question:
My product photographs didn’t come out that good? Can you help?

That's where Fixarphoto’s team excels. They can alter the lighting, change the product colour, or place your goods in a location where they look like a million dollars. Question: As a startup freelance Makeup Artist I am working on building my portfolio. I currently need help from someone that can help me take my portfolio from ordinary to the extraordinary. would you be able to tell me prices etc?
Answer: We would be able to advise pricing depending on your answers and are confident that our retouching team is quite capable of enhancing your photos digitally and improve your portfolio immensely. We all know how difficult it is in the beginning therefore in order to help you to the point where we are happy in investing sufficient time on your portfolio, we would try our best to give you discount compared to our prices on the website. To work out pricing we would need to know a few things:
- • The total number of photos you want us to work on
- • The type of work that needs to be done (retouching, manipulation, restoration - please visit our site for examples for each category)
Question: I held a photoshoot with a professional photographer in a studio on Tuesday and got some beautiful pictures from it. I wanted to have around 25 images retouched and some of them literally just needing skin to look flawless, then a few close ups that need the makeup strengthening as I think the flash hasn't done the photo justice and whilst in person the makeup was strong it isn't relayed in the picture, and with a couple I just needed the white background to not look so bright.
So with that in mind, I have been on your website and if I wanted all 25 images retouched would you be able to help me out a little? Also in terms of time frames how long would it take before I could get the images back?
Also in terms of time frames how long would it take before I could get the images back?
Answer: We retouch 25 photos according to your specifications and are willing to charge you (negotiated amount) per photo as opposed to the standard rate per photo. We focus on quality that would help build our reputation online and offline.
Please note that payment must be made before we work on any projects. We will send you an invoice once you confirm the above. If you agree to the terms, please let us know and once payment is received successfully we will send you a link where you can upload your photos directly or you can email them to us.
For 25 photos we take between 48 to 72 hours depending on the number of projects we have on the day.
Question: Do you accept raw images? What requirements do you have in terms of photo size, resolution etc?
Answer: We accept raw images as well Jpeg, PNG, GIF & SVG formats. Please note that low resolution images tend to look pixelated and therefore does not reflect quality. A minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) is required. Not just the resolution, but the actual photo size should be considerably high. For example, a 300 dpi resolution image with dimensions of 4.5 by 6 cm is not actually a high quality image compared to the same image with a 300 dpi image with dimensions of 10 by 25 cm. The higher the image width by height, the better.
Question: If there are little bits that I want edited after you send me the images, Will I be able to ask you to do that for me?
Answer: In the beginning we always ask our clients to specify as much as possible what they want for every single image rather than having to email back and forth requests that may seem reasonable at the time. Please bear in mind that it is not a work in progress but rather the final work itself.
We only accept requests within reason, for example light retouching on the images rather than having to redo the image. As long as specific instructions are given according to your preference, we will be able to meet your expectations.
Below are examples of clear and precise instructions given in the past by actual clients (name, price and specific details removed for obvious privacy reasons):
- • Image 10 - fine lines under the eyes need removing, overall sharpening and fine line and darkness under eyes removed.
- • Image 12 - Please make this image sharper including the skin around the lip; mouth and nose smoother - also the really fine lines and darkness under the eyes to be removed - just so the pic looks sharp and clean
- • Image 13 - Kindly get the random strand of hair on the arm smoothed out/removed Under right eye brow - also can we get the skin smoothed/highlighted as it looks a bit stubbly?
- • Image 15 - sharpen blue on eye and bring some of that blue under the eyes too
- • Image 17 - smooth away lines on neck - strengthen cheek contour and blue on the eyes
- • Image 18 - fine hair removed off face and neck smoothening out
- • Image 19 - please remove the blurred sides - and fine hairs across face- smooth
- • Image 25 - please remove fine line hair across face and fine lines under eye
Examples of vague, confusing intstructions:
- • Image 25 - This pic looks a bit washed out? Could I have the colour back in this pic so that its warmer?
- • Image 42 - I need the lips to be redder
From the above, as you can see "warmer" or "redder" are vague words and the solution would be to say exactly what colour you would like and where. One of our clients was kind enough to actually use lines and circles to point out exactly where and what needed changing and all these notes where on the image itself.
